Friendship day is the day when we celebrate our friendship with all our friends. It is celebrated on different days all around the world to preserve the spirit of friendship and empathy. The first world friendship day was celebrated on 30th July 1958. The United Nations in April 2011 officially recognized 30th July as International Friendship Day.
In India, the first Sunday in the month of August is observed as Friendship Day, while the United States celebrates it on the 15th of February and many different countries celebrate it on different days. This day is the reason for a friendly gathering and for greeting all our friends. On this day people take trips together with their friends and have feasts and celebrate life and friendship with each other.
