Durga Puja is performed during the autumn season every year. For the Hindus, it a very important and the greatest festival of their lives. The Puja is held for 10 consecutive days but the last 4 are the most important ones – Saptami, Ashtami, Navami and Dashami. It is on Dashami the 10th day on which the idols of the gods and goddesses are immersed in water bodies such as ponds, lakes and rivers.
Maha Navami is the 9th day of the Durga Puja festival and a lot of important pujas and offerings are also done on this day. This day is of huge significance for all of Durga Maa’s worshippers.
