Republic Day in India is the day the Constitution of India came into force replacing the previous Government of India Act of 1935. This was a major event in the history of our beloved country and shaped our way forward. Which is why January 26th is a red-letter day in the history of our nation and this also the day our country became a secular and democratic republic. On this day a grand parade is held at the capital city of India which is New Delhi.
This parade consists of shows from many different regiments of the armed forces, naval forces and the Air Force. Latest acquisitions of the army are shown off over here such as latest guns, artilleries, radar systems, missiles and others. Air Force pilots fly helicopters and fighter jets over the parade grounds. School children from all over the country also visit and participate in these celebrations. The President, the Prime Minister, the Vice President and other official dignitaries are also present at this function along with a foreign head of state of is the Cheif Guest of the celebrations.
